Brian Cooke | Coaching for a Bright Tomorrow!

Logic + Decision Making

Brian Cooke Season 5 Episode 10
Hello, I am Brian Cooke.

I coach leaders who know their strengths and do amazing things!

Logic provides insight on how leaders prefer to make decisions.

There are three Logic styles: Fact, Feeling, or a Balance of both.

Fact = analytical, deliberate decision-making based on a logical process and documented facts

Feeling = intuitive, inclined to make decisions quickly based on gut feeling and prior experience

Balanced = a balance of fact and feeling, able to use either style based on situation at-hand

Here are some suggestions to strengthen leadership communication and team decision making.

When communicating with Fact-based decisionmakers:

·       provide reliable data + information to validate your request, recommendation, or decision

·       give them time to analyze, research or confirm data, information, and facts

When communicating with Feeling-based decisionmakers:

·       be prepared to expect, receive, and trust quick intuitive decisions

·       ask them how this decision connects with lessons learned from past experiences
